Most residents believe Hawaii's homeless problem has grown worse in the last year.  Fifty-five percent of the 642 likely voters who responded to a Hawaii Poll believe the problem is worse, while 38 percent said it's about the same. Only four percent perceived the homeless problem as better over the past 12 months. Fifty-four percent believe homelessness is affecting Hawaii's economy by discouraging visitors from returning, while 40 percent said they didn't think it was affecting the economy.
