Someone Remade This Iconic My Chemical Romance Video In 'Animal Crossing'

Animal Crossing has been all the rage during quarantine, and My Chemical Romance was poised to be the band of 2020 before COVID-19 caused them to delay their reunion tour. Earlier this week, YouTuber SuuKool decided to mesh the two and gave MCR's "I'm Not Okay (I Promise)" an Animal Crossing remix, reimagining the song if it were recorded by the game's resident musician K.K. Slider. They made a new band name (My Khemical Slider) and titled the track "I'm Not O K.K."

Now, YouTuber mika schmeling is taking it one step further and recreated the iconic music video in the game. The resulting clip displays the Animal Crossing version on top and the original on the bottom of the screen. And honestly, it's pretty spot on.

Though fans may need to wait for the band's reunion tour, they can show their MCR love with face coverings the band originally made for a dessert show that never happened. The masks are available for pre-order through MCR's online store, with proceeds going to MusiCares' COVID-19 Relief Fund — a charity that helps music industry workers who have been affected by the pandemic stay afloat.
