Ivan Roe, a 28-year-old athlete from Manhattan, Montana, is set to make his Olympic debut at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. Born on January 9, 1996, Roe has had a remarkable journey in the world of shooting sports.

Roe's interest in shooting began at the age of seven when his father enrolled him in a hunter’s safety education course. He quickly fell in love with the sport and later joined the Gallatin Valley Sharpshooters in Montana. After high school, Roe attended Murray State University, where he competed in air and smallbore rifle shooting and earned the distinction of being a seven-time All-American.

In 2019, Roe joined the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit and has been shooting for them since. His achievements include winning gold in Men’s 50m Rifle 3 Position at the 2022 Championship of the Americas, earning the U.S. a quota spot in the event for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. He was also crowned World Champion alongside teammate Sagen Maddalena in the 50m Rifle Prone Mixed Team event at the 2022 International Shooting Sports Federation World Championship. Roe currently has three ISSF Grand Prix medals to his name.

According to USA Shooting, Roe's journey to the Olympics is a testament to his dedication and love for the sport. His Olympic debut in Paris 2024 is eagerly anticipated by fans and fellow athletes alike.
