Rob Parker: Deion Sanders is being a HYPOCRITE

Rob and Kelvin discuss Deion Sanders' comments regarding a possible NIL Salary Cap. Rob talks about the hypocrisy of Deion Sanders claiming this when he is one of the highest paid coaches in the sport, while Kelvin brings up how the NCAA had been participating in identity theft for years and the floodgates finally opened up for NIL.

Rob Parker:

"Deion Sanders? Hello is this on? So you're calling for a cap okay. Shame on you for being a hypocrite. Did you call for a cap when the coaches were making $20 Million, $18 Million? Where was the coaches cap? Is it fair that Nick Saban was making a gazillion dollars off the kids back? Where was that cap Deion? How come you didn't call for this when your boys, your kids were in college? Shedeur, why didn't Shedeur give the money back and say, you know what, I'm just playing for the hell of it. My dad's a former NFL player, we got loot, I don't need money. I'm here to play football. Did Shedeur take the money? This is ludicrous. The only people you want to punish are the players, the actual product. Deion, without the players, you can't coach. You can't sell tickets. And I'm talking about the players as a whole."

Kelvin Washington:

"One thing we know about is when the money gets rolling, money ain't going back in. So the system is the system where it is. They blew their chance to do this 20, 25, 30, 35 years ago when people were really starting to make a fuss about this. The NCAA for decades had been participating in identity theft. They stole the identity of players. One of my favorite games growing up was Coach K basketball. It was so fun. And you knew exactly who that was. The UCLA team with the old band and brothers and Tyus Edney. Well I know that's him. He's 5-8 and number 10 or whatever. The NCAA had been participating in identity theft for so long and gotten away with it, now we've created the Wild Wild West and this is the result of it. And you know what happens when you give leeway, when you finally open the floodgates, eventually you have to open up the parameters and scale back a little bit. So right now, Deion, Nick Saban, what we're dealing with is the floodgates opening."
